Description Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005' [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Cannot update. Database or object is read-only.

This error occurs during initial setup, when you have not properly set the permissions of the FPDB directory: TO CORRECT:
a. In FrontPage, right click on the folder and remove the check next to "Allow scripts to be run" and click on TOOLS, Web Settings, then click the database tab. Make sure you ad the vspace db.
b. In an FTP Client, right click on the folder and Remove EXECUTE access.
c. In a web Client set the folder to WRITE/DELETEThen you must delete the Admin directory below the vspace directory.
Now.. Try setup again.

This error generally occurs during initial setup, if you had an error prior. TO CORRECT:
Delete the Admin directory below the vspace directory.

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0046' Permission denied

This error generally occurs during initial setup, if you had forgot to set the permissions of the vspace directory.. TO CORRECT:
a. In frontpage, right click on the folder and remove the check next to "Allow scripts to be run". Then check all other check boxes ( should be 3 total.)
b. In an FTP Client, right click on the folder and Remove EXECUTE access.
c. In a web Client set the folder to WRITE/DELETENow.. Try setup again.
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d' Type mismatch: 'FP_FieldVal'

This occurs from your main page in Add, Update or Delete Friends Passwords Here, when you have attempted to add a password for a user that is not in the system. TO CORRECT:
Check the spelling of the Users Name
Now.. Try again.
Server 500 errors Could be anything... likely one or all of the above issues. TO CORRECT:
FIRST- if using IE.... got to tools, internet options, then advanced. Under Browsing, take the check mark out of "SHOW FRIENDLY HTTP ERRORS MESSAGES"
- This will allow IE to display the true cause of the error.
Check the above FAQ's - make sure all is set correct.
Now.. Try again.
"../" can not be used in the mappath method TO CORRECT: Make sure that "Parent paths are enabled". In Win 2003 parent paths are by default disabled.
It is customary for Server Administrators to Enable Parent Paths, however, occasionally this is not the case
You can enable them if you have access (how?) or ask your host to do it. If they refuse then contact us and we will send you an alternative package for these situations.
